Managing Lagging EFS Skills and Resultant Negative Behaviors
One six hour, training for up to 35 professionals.
$1800 (Outside NYC transportation/lodging costs may apply.)
Goal: Staff will learn about the various executive function skills; how they negatively impact academic achievement and classroom behavior, and techniques to address areas of EFS weaknesses. Additionally, staff will be exposed to and practice a philosophy and technique to successfully handle challenging students with lagging skills.
Why: EFS are often overlooked as a source of academic or behavioral problems. Many students with EFS deficits do not respond to the popularly used reward and punishment system of consequences. It is important to understand that behind every challenging behavior is an unsolved problem waiting to be addressed.
Enhancing Student Recall
One three hour, training for up to 35 professionals.

Goal: To increase the professional’s repertoire of proven techniques that help students recall information.
Why: Students forget material they have “learned” and need important information presented in a way that will enable them to recall the material for a test.
